At BRUNI, operated by Ambiente Design s.r.o., we treat your personal data with the same level of care and exclusivity that we apply to our textiles. This policy outlines how we handle your information in strict accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll.

WHY WE COLLECT YOUR DATA (PURPOSE)

The purpose of processing personal data expresses the justification for us to process your personal data. We process your personal data exclusively and solely for a specific purpose, namely:

  1. Legal compliance required from our company in accordance with the applicable legislation;
  2. To fulfill the needs of the contract entered into with you and to fulfill tasks required to conclude the contract, including tasks aimed at concluding the contract (pre-contractual relations). This applies to personal data of people with whom we come into contact because they represent a person/entity with whom we intend to conclude or have concluded a contract;
  3. Fulfillment of contractual conditions related to the service provided on www.bruni-home.com, including the set-up, maintenance, and removal of a user account;
  4. Protection of our assets against fraudulent or other illegal conduct, the transfer of personal data within the group of companies which the data controller is part of (specifically for administrative purposes), enforcement of legal obligations, and the protection of rights, or direct marketing which constitutes a legitimate interest in promoting our products and services.

LEGAL BASIS FOR PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING

Our company processes your personal data exclusively on the basis of a concluded contract, a legal regulation, or measures adopted before a contract is concluded, or because of our legitimate interests specified above.

  • Mandatory Data: Some data are required by contract or law; it would not be possible to conclude a contract with you should such data not be provided.
  • Voluntary Data: Data provided for marketing purposes are based on consent and are not a condition for concluding the contract.

WHOSE DATA WE PROCESS

  1. (i) Customers, suppliers, partners and cooperating entities and their representatives;
  2. (ii) Employees (working in accordance with the Labour Code);
  3. (iii) Bodies or members of the bodies of our company;
  4. (iv) State and local administration officials;
  5. (v) Other people subject only to special consent. We only require the minimum data necessary to comply with contractual commitments and legal obligations effectively.

MINIMIZING PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED (CATEGORIES)

  • Employees/Bodies: Name, surname, date of birth, birth number, permanent/contact address, phone, email, bank account number.
  • Suppliers/Partners: Name, surname, phone, email, bank details, Company Reg. No. (IČO), VAT No. (IČ DPH).
  • Customers (www.bruni-home.com or www.bruni-home.sk): First name, surname, email, invoice address and delivery address and date of birth.
  • Administration Officials: Name, surname, and contact details for legal compliance purposes.

CATEGORIES OF RECIPIENTS

Data are processed by team members who need them for their activities (employees and hired third parties). Categories include:

  • Accountants, lawyers, tax advisers, auditors, special agencies, marketing specialists and IT specialists.
  • Logistics and courier partners for order fulfillment.

DURATION OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING

  • General Rule: For the time period required to fulfill the purpose and ensure legal compliance.
  • Contractual Data: During the term of the contract and for the period required by law (e.g., 10 years for tax records).
  • Order History: In the User Account environment, order information is retained for 5 years.
  • Standard Retention: For 3 years from the date the purpose has been fulfilled, provided the data are not subject to longer statutory storage obligations.

  • Access & Portability: Request a copy of your data in a structured format.
  • Correction: Update any inaccurate details (e.g., a change of address).
  • The Right to be Forgotten (Erasure): You can request the deletion of your data, provided we are not legally required to keep it for tax purposes.
  • Objection & Restriction: You can object to your data being used for marketing or request that we "pause" processing if you contest the data's accuracy.
  • Withdrawal of Consent: You can stop all non-essential processing instantly via email.
